1) Is USA a right place for my education?

The country offers the most stimulating; rewarding and comprehensive range of education, and USA is one of the top study destinations in the world. Every year around half million of people come to USA to pursue their further education. Moreover, US educational reward is highly adored by the international job market.

2) Who is eligible to apply to the U.S.?

Students with consistently good academic record, firm financial support and proficiency in English is eligible to apply to the U.S. for higher education. Please check the details of the program and the university you wish to apply since different programs have a different set of criteria to be eligible. You may be required to take a few admission tests to be eligible.

3) What are common requirements for studying in USA?

You should have completed 16 years of education (15 years for few universities), if you intend to pursue a Masters Degree. You need to take TOEFL, GRE Tests as a prerequisite, and for Management Programs GMAT.

Most of the universities will ask for some important documents like, university application form, academic records, standardized test reports (TOEFL + SAT/GRE/GMAT), recommendation letters and evidence of financial resources etc. How ever every university/college in USA has their own requirements, so it is essential to know all the details about the university to you choose. 4) I have a three-year bachelor's degree from India. Am I eligible to apply?

It is advisable for you to complete an additional year of studies to be stronger applicant to a master's degree in the U.S. However, some students with a good track record are able to secure admission after a three-year bachelor's degree. Please check with the university you wish to apply for.

5) When can I start undergraduate (bachelor's) studies in the U.S.?

Soon after you complete your 12 years of school education

6) When can I begin graduate (master's and doctoral) studies in the U.S.?

Soon after you complete your 16 years of education which includes 4 years of college education

7)  Do academic performance and test scores matter?

Yes. As the consular officer is going to evaluate your potential for further studies, through your academic background, it may influence the officers decision to a large extent. Likewise the test scores are also viewed quite seriously as they are supposed to demonstrate your ability to successfully pursue higher studies.

8) When should I start the application process?

At least 18 months before the intended date of enrollment in U.S.. university. For example, if you wish to enroll in August/September 2010, you should start the process around April 2009. Be sure of the deadlines of the programs!

9) I have completed my Degree through distance education. Do I have a chance to get into Masters Program?

Most of the countries will not consider the Open University Degrees

10) I have written GRE twice if I am reporting my scores to the University which score will be considered?
